Sorry, no pictures yet... I'm going to wait till we decorate a little so it doesn't look so dumpy with boxes in the pictures.
So here is our "joyful" story....
We finally moved into our new home on Sept. 30th. and for conference weekend we had a full house with MacKay's parents, my parents, my sister and a friend, all staying with us. Then on Saturday, my mom was on her way to the bathroom when she stepped into a swimming pool on my new kitchen floor. Come to find out that MacKay taking a shower upstairs, caused our main floor bathroom's toilet to over flow. So we call to get it fixed and at first they tell me that it's a weekend and they won't be able to get anyone out to fix it until Monday. And with a house full of people that wasn't going to fly with us. So they got the on call Roto Rooter guy to come fix it until they could fix it for real on Monday. He told us we had about 12 flushes before it would back up again. So everyone was going down the street to use an outhouse at a home under construction.
So on Monday they came and dug a giant hole in our yard and tore up half of our driveway. Come to find out the problem was that when they were doing our plumbing they had some pipe left over so some "brilliant" person left the extra pipe down next to our true sewer line. Then when someone else came to hook up our sewer line with the actual sewer, he picked the wrong pipe, so our sewage was just dumping into our dirt under our driveway.
Ah, good times, good times. It is now fixed. They refilled the hole with rocks and hauled away the nasty dirt. And put down a new driveway. But now our driveway looks completely ridiculous, because it is a totally different color then the other half. So now we are going to try and get them to do something about that, and also the grout around our tile is all discolored now from the toilet over flow, so hopefully we can get them to take care of the rest of the problems in some way.
Other then that problem, things are going fairly well. We are quickly filling our home with new furnishings. And our house is filling more and more like a home.
