So since we didn't really have anything to do this Memorial Day, we decided to go on a couple of hikes.
We drove down to little cottonwood canyon and hiked around the Temple Quarry Trail at the mouth of the canyon.
For those of you who don't know this hike. It is .3 miles round trip and is paved (we are not on the trail in the pictures.) This is were the quarry that built the SLC temple was cut from. And in places if you look close you can see the marks left behind from the pioneers. It is a pretty cool area.
Then we drove up the canyon a few more miles and hiked up Lisa Falls.
This hike is also really short. It is .5 miles round trip. So the fact that it is so short makes it great for the kids, but it is a little rocky. Keely and I took off our shoes and walked in it but it was really cold, so we didn't last to long.
And now Austin seems to be happy that it is time to go home.
